Dentistry under General Anesthesia
General anesthesia is used for patients who cannot tolerate dental treatment while awake. It allows the patient to remain unconscious and completely pain-free during the procedure.
When is it indicated:
- Severe dental anxiety or phobia.
- Special needs patients.
- Extensive or surgical procedures (multiple extractions, full-mouth treatments).
Advantages:
- Complete comfort and cooperation.
- Multiple treatments completed in a single session.
- Safe when administered by a certified anesthesiologist.
Preparation:
Includes preoperative evaluation and coordination with the anesthesiology team. Recovery is typically on the same day.
