Root Canal Treatment
Root canal therapy is performed to save a severely damaged or infected tooth. It involves removing the infected pulp, cleaning and disinfecting the root canals, and sealing the space.
When needed:
- Persistent pain or sensitivity.
- Deep decay, fractures, or abscess.
- Swelling or infection.
Advantages:
- Preserves the natural tooth.
- Eliminates pain and infection.
- Prevents the need for extraction.
Procedure:
Typically completed in 1–2 visits. A crown is often placed afterward to protect the tooth.
